Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro (HPCG) Website

At Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro (HPCG), I manage and continually seek to improve the website, www.hospicegso.org. On a daily basis, this work might include designing a new slide for the homepage to promote an event, publishing new pages to raise awareness for HPCG's programs and updating the counseling and volunteering calendars each month. In summer of 2015 I also assisted in transitioning the website to its current responsive design to optimize user experience across different devices and improve our Search Engine Optimization. I'm proficient in WordPress and have a fundamental understanding of HTML and CSS.

In winter of 2016, I conducted a user testing study to assess and the usability of the website. Download the report here.

RefugeeConnect Website, created for the Junior League of Cincinnati (JLC)

In 2014, as part of my Masters capstone project, I worked with a small group to create a website for RefugeeConnect. RefugeeConnect is a newly formed organization started by the Junior League of Cincinnati that aims to unite Cincinnati and its service providers to better serve the needs of local refugees. I was the leader for this project, primarily responsible for the design and content strategy of the website. We created the website using Wix, a Content Management System.  The website has changed since we handed it over to RefugeeConnect, but you can view screenshots of the original design here.

Corryville Catholic School Website

In my Master's Web Design class, we worked with a local elementary school, Corryville Catholic, to revamp their school website. This required rewriting existing copy, generating new content, restructuring the site map and navigation, choosing effective design elements, using WordPress and customizing its CSS, and adding features such as a Google Calendar and an SMS function. You can visit the website at www.writeprofessionally.org/corryville or flip through the Before and After shots below.
